Today, the popular video streaming service Hulu Plus quietly arrived on Apple TV. The new application appears on the Apple TV home screen without having to update the software for the set top box.
The Hulu Plus service cost $7.99 a month to stream TV shows, movies, trailers and more. You can easily sign up for a seven day free trial on your Apple TV and you will be billed through your iTunes account. Hulu subscribers can also stream video content on their computers, iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Hulu Plus joins a growing number of third party content providers on Apple TV, including Netflix, YouTube, Vimeo, WSJ Live, MLB.TV, NBA and NHL. Apple also added AirPlay for Macs with the release of Mountain Lion a few days ago. Even though Apple TV does not have a dedicated App Store, Apple is slowly bringing new features to the device.
