Apple TV now has Vevo, Weather Channel, Smithsonian & Disney apps

As expected Vevo has arrived for Apple TV users, but surprisingly it came along with four other apps as well. This morning Apple rolled out an automatic update for Apple TV that included the Weather Channel, Smithsonian Channel, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Vevo. Vevo App Coming to Apple TV

Apple buys Matcha app to improve Apple TV

According to AllThingsD, Apple has confirmed an acquisition of Matcha, an online media discovery app for iOS. The app disappeared from Apple’s App Store in May of this year without any explanation from the company. Now, it appears it was removed due to the acquisition.
