Today, a Brazilian blog showed off a new feature for Apple TV in iOS 6 beta 2. The new software lets you rearrange app icons by holding the center button on the Apple Remote. This will make the icons wiggle, like the home screen on other iOS devices. You can then move the icon by using the directional buttons on the remote.
This is another example of the Apple TV software becoming more like iOS. Apple redesigned the user interface for Apple TV earlier this year with a grid based layout that looks similar to other iOS devices. The ability to move app icons with a similar method as other iOS devices could also be another indication that Apple is getting closer to allow third-party apple for the set-top box.
iOS 6 is scheduled to be released to the public this fall.
